Clean and unload your in-line after a day out

I "had" the bad habit of loading my Encore with three 777 pellets and bullet only to leave it over night for the next days hunt. This turned into almost 2 weeks of leaving it loaded. I noticed that I now have some very minor pitting in the breach area, directly behind the seated bullet. I have since unloaded and swabbed the barrel after every day out after finding this out, plus I just ordered an "ez-tip extractor" so I don't have to do a complete dismantle, which is the reason why I would leave it loaded, shear laziness!

Don't leave blackpowder in a gun, its highly corrosive - well, its very hygroscopic - attracts water big time. Very quick way to destroy a nice gun.
