Yes I have read the whole FAQ.

After about 40 factory UMC or WIN white box rounds this rilfe begins to stink really badly.... I'm sure its something I am doing wrong when cleaning it. How do you clean the piston ? Do you have to take the whole thing apart ?

Thanks

Define take the whole thing apart?

When I clean the piston I remove everything from the rifle except the gas block. I even unscrew the piston from the gas block. Give it a good scrubbing with solvent and whip it dry. Leave the piston dry, no oil.

Stinky rifles could be oil burning or maybe something you are cleaning your rifle with that has been cleaned from the piston. Stinky rifles do not adversely affect function.

Use Break-free CLP, that is the only oil/cleaner that I use on my AR180B, works great and will remove rust. Back on topic, yes, I also bet it's the oil you're using, maybe it's getting into the chamber or something? I know that those rounds are da*n hot flying out of that thing..... Do you think it could maybe be getting on the barrel? I know that the barrel also gets pretty hot sometimes, especially when bump-firing :D
