I have two of these and they really are excellent rifles and good value.

How do people clean the bore on these though?

I bought a special white plastic bore guide a while back still can't clean the bore properly. It feels like the rod itself is touching or grinding on the bore and I can't bring myself to use it. I have both a plastic coated and a regular good quality cleaning rod. These both work perfectly for my .223's.

So far I've only used a cheap air rifle cleaning kit I bought many years ago. If I put two patches over the jag it fits pretty snug. I'm sure this does a great job of getting the powder fouling out but sooner or later lead build up is likely to prematurely reduce the accuracy of these.

I wonder if there's not a cleaning rod for .17 cal that would take a cleaning jag for .22?

Buy your self a boresnake and you won't have that problem. CZ and brno have tight bores. Good way to wreck your gun using a rod to big. Run a bore snake through once or twice a year and clean the inside of your bolt. If you don't know how to take a cz/brno bolt apart send me a pm and I'll walk you through it-----Cowboy
