Lee Enfield Bolt Removal
If it is a No 4 and a Long Branch or a US No 4 there is a slot just behind the barrel in the right side of the receiver approximately 15mm from the barrel. Slide the bolt head back to the slot and flip the bolt head up to the left and withdraw the bolt out of the gun. You might have to have the rear sight up in the user position to remove it.
If it is a British Enfield No4 you will have to press a spring mechanism down before you bring the bolt all the way back and flip the bolt head up to remove it. The spring mechanism is just behind the stripper clip guide just above the trigger.
If it's a No1 Mk III just bring the bolt all the way to the rear and flip it up to remove the bolt. There is a spring mechanism that works like a detent and you will have to use a considerable amount of pressure to release it.
Hope that helps?
