Finally got around to stripping my "hiker" down and cleaned up all the grease off the metal.
Now, how do I get it off the plastic stock - the damn goop is everywhere, in the checkering, all over. I don't want to use brake fluid or anything that might melt the plastic. :D
Any ideas on what to use?
Thanks.

I use Loctite ODC-Free Cleaner and Degreaser. Some from work accidently fell into my lunch can. It should be available from most industrial supply companies. Spray it on a rag and wipe everything down good. An old toothbrush works great around the checkering. BTW this stuff is safe to use on anything. Hope this helps.
