I have a new to me beauty that could use a little TLC.

If the resale value goes to $0 tomorrow the finished product is purely for looks so I can't screw it up too badly.

Any suggestions on getting some sparkle back into this lovely Jericho?

If the worn and scratched look is unsightly to you, I would say that getting it bead-blasted is probably the easiest option rather than buff/polish.

Flitz. It won't remove deep scratches but it will shine up simple surface abrasions which is what seems to be most in evidence in the photo.

As for bead blasting, I can't recall if the Jerichos were stainless or chromed. If stainless then bead blasting should do a good job. However, I'm not sure if bead blasting would damage chrome plating. The shop doing the work should be able to tell you if that's a possibility.

Looks like a nice pattern to scribe the rest of the gun that way.
As mentioned, bead blasting is your best option following some minor flat grinding. I’d use glass beads. Works well on stainless and available at Princess Auto, $50. for a 50lb bag.

Cerracoating is also a viable option.

Edit: Having looked them up now, the 941F are hard chromed. Quite thin at that. Polishing too much might burn through the finish.
Found some articles showing some police trade-ins to be stainless. Seems they sold both. Hard chromed are likely stainless underneath.

mothers mag polish. I just used this myself to get some scuff marks off my barrel and I managed to polish it up to mirror finish. Polish might be a little to hard for this but maybe just a light rub might help.
Good luck

These are not SS, so any deep polish will have you into the steel, now a blue flat side on the slide with the silver would look good.
I had one that was blue frame and silver slide, I never tried polish, but it had a little corrosion in the slide finger grooves/serrations.
If you want to try , take grips off and try small spot on lower grip frame.
I would just shoot it.
