Cleaning bore while testing new loads?

I’m just wondering what is the best practice for a ladder test. After a couple of foulers should I shoot the entire ladder without cleaning the bore? This will be the first time I try the ladder test method, my OCD is probably overthinking it.

I’ve got 2 sets of loads for each rifle. 8 different increments in powder charge for a total of 16 rounds per rifle in order to shoot 2 ladder tests for each gun.

Cleaning is over rated. I have gone over 800 rounds down the pipe without cleaning on a match rifle and still won matches.

If you clean between shots you're changning the condition of the bore on each shot. I find it takes 10 or more shots down the barrel to get a consistent surface layer on the rifling and bore.

i fully agree with maynard , cleaning your rifle every few rounds is not helping much in my experience. I clean the actions regularly but the bores don't get cleaned nearly as often . most rifles shoot better with dirty bores .
