This one LYMAN PRO-MAGNUM 2500 · Standard at wss its

Mfr. # 7631692 · wss #181888 $109.99
I have 2, works slick, be sure to fill with 5-6 pounds of polishing media.
The recipe I use is 5 lbs of corncob and 1 lb of walnut shell, for a bright polish.
Buy the media at a pet store for 1/2 the price of gun store stuff.
The corncob is called bird and small animal bedding 24 liter bag and the walnut was lizard litter.
I reload 8000 rounds a year.

Can you give an example of how much brass you can process per tumble? I don't have a catalog yet and I too am browsing for a tumbler. THanks.

In my lyman 2500 I tumble a tall white tobaco jar(8" tall) full of 9mm(1000 pcs) or 45acp, must be 500+ of them. Rifle brass 70 - 100 270 cases with a few 45s thrown in. 700 -800 38s.
The fuller it is the faster it seems it cleans. I start tumbling with new media for 2 hours and progress to 6 hours after 7000 rounds , then change it.

Washing machine! Put cases in a mesh/net bag and then toss in with a load of old towels and a bit of laundry soap. Clean towels and cases. Just don't let your wife catch you. Actually.....mine gave me the mesh bag.........and yes, i realize that sounds like a ### act.....

Forget the (side-loading) tumbler.

What you want is a (top-loading) vibratory case cleaner.

Little trick I picked up from Gunnutz a little while back... put in a bouce sheet or even a couple of rags in the tumbler. The rags come out all black and nasty looking. It cleans up the media.

Thanks tig

I ordered this one. Thanks for the tip on materials.
