Cleaning kits

Hi,

i would like to ask if the bore brush that came with my sks could be used to clean the bore on the Mosin Nagant?

I think that the brush is more for cleaning the chamber than the bore. Those brush are quite soft so i dont think they work well to clean a barrel. Correct me if i'm wrong
