Is the Norinco/ Polytech M14's good to be cleaned using a cleaning rod and muzzle guide? Asking in case the flash hider is not concentric withe the bore axis or something.

Yes, a standard cleaning rod with proper rod end accessory work fine. The flash hider is not an issue.

"...in case the flash hider is not concentric with the bore axis or something..." Bad thing if it was. Bullets would hit it. Very exciting. Had it happen to one of my troopies with an FN C1A1, long ago. Busted one tine on the FH and scared him silly. Asked him why he did it. snicker. Funnier when a senior guy had the safety come loose causing the rifle to double then jam. Asked him why he did it too.
Partial to pull throughs myself. Have the issue cleaning rod that came with my Winchester and haven't ever used it.

On M1's and M14's I prefer an Otis pullthrough cable rig. Heck I use it on all my rifles. NSN:1005-01-453-3783
