Hello All,
I'm getting my rifle in the morning and am new to the m14 platform. I bought some "simple green" degreasing cleaner and plan to get rid of the cosmoline (or whatever it is) out of the rifle after unboxing. I then want to grease the rifle with "MotoMaster Bearing Grease" or "Mobil 1 synthetic grease" from good ol' Canadian tire. After reading the faq and the tips for greasing, is this youtube video accurate on how to grease it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJyWO_ZV8tQ . I'm a very visual person so if the video was accurate in how to grease the m14 that would be great.
As always, any tips are appreciated!

Cheers,
Riley.

Used Simple Green myself and it worked awesome . Spray the entire gun with it, rinse with water and blow off with compressed air. Grease it and shoot.

I used M pro 7 gun cleaner just sprayed it on wiped it off add some grease and I was done.

I did have to take it apart and put it back together as many of the parts just falled off.

The video is pretty good I think-Was there some discrepancy you were thinking of? I think the tendency for most people, is to over apply the grease (I'm guilty), but I don't think it is a big problem unless you are in a sandy area where it accumulates in the grease. The video probably shows a proper level of grease. I always try to make sure the Lugs are are well lubed.
