Cleaning Patches

When I clean my rifle, I will get the odd speck of a crystal like substance on the patch. Just wondering what it is. Its is clear, almost like a flake of glass, or a flake of crystal. They are tiny, most people wont notice.

I have seen that happen when two different cleaning products are mixed in the cleaning process. Wipe Out will do that when it comes into contact with some carbon solvents in the bore.
