What is the best way to grind off remnants of 2 spot welds from the flash hider? Do I need a grinder? I only have a hand-held rotary tool.

Also, what is the best way to treat the exposed part? I'm not sure if bluing works if the rest of the muzzle is parkerized.

Thanks.

Blueing reacts with the parkerizing, but after you wash it and apply oil, it blends in better than leaving it bare metal.

I'd just use a hand rotary tool with some sort of abrasive to clean up any raised spots.

You can dremel it if you want; a fine flat file works OK and you have more control.

Cold blue blends in with the park OK.

X 2 , I'll use a diamond bit in my dremel flex shaft, then finish with diamond file (or similar small file)
Clean and degrease, apply Cold blue 5 or 6 times
Then finish the job with a treatment of CLP or similar penetrative oil.

Thanks. I'll check our Princess or Crappy. Will have to pick up a c-clamp for the castle nut. Now that I'll need a grinder I believe. Dental tools on a rifle...cool...finesse meets brute force. :)
