Christmas of 2008, my wife bought me a little Norinco "Mauser 98" .22. It is a JW-25A. It is the same action as another Norinco "copy" rifle I had (until it was stolen:mad:), so I have a bucket of magazines for it. I will take it outside and hose it down with brake cleaner tomorrow in the daylight.

It is a neat looking little rifle. Has anyone done any accuracy testing? I am only hoping for "minute of gopher". I'll maybe put a cheap scope on it.

I've found mine to be pretty accurate. Although I'm new to scopes and optics so I'm probably not the best person to speak of this rifles accuracy.

Last time I fired mine was out in the crownland, sighting in my cheapo $7 tasco scope on a pretty crude range that some other shooters had made.

Once my friend and I realized the elevation adjustment screw on my scope was backwards(down was up, up was down) we got it sighted to the best of our abilities given the makeshift range.

My last target was fired standing at 25 yards, I put 4 rounds in the 9 ring and 1 in the 8 ring. Three rounds to the left of the bulls eye, then after a bit of a stance change, my two last shots were pretty much ontop of each other to the right of the bulls eye in the 9 ring. I was pretty impressed by that, a $99 dollar rifle with a $7 dollar scope, standing on uneven terrain. :D That being said, I do practice shooting my rifles while standing a lot. I can't wait to get it up to the range and see if I can get some better results with a more comfortable bench.

Anyway I'm sure other CGNers have had much more accurate results with better optics, being on an actual range, and actually knowing what way to turn their adjustment screws ;)
