Cleaning your Glock

Honestly, just about anything will work, but here's how to do it on the cheap:

Grease for sliding surfaces: automotive wheel bearing grease or Permatex synthetic grease in a squeeze tube
Oil for other small moving parts: ATF or synthetic engine oil
Cleaner: 1 part Simple Green Pro HD (purple) to 5 parts water
 
1. field strip gun
2. tear all internals out of slide
3. tear all internals out of frame
4. use a tooth brush to break everything down
5. spray everything i mean everything with break cleaner
6. spay evertything with rem oil then wipe it down
7. put it back together
8. go shoot 2000 rounds
