Is it legal to clip two mags together? They've got attachment points already built in.

IIRC someone once told me that it was illegal... but I wanna do it so bad!

Feel free to go forth and tape to your hearts content. Until you wind up with one single feeding device that feeds more than the proscribed number of cartridges, they are still two seperate devices.
 
No limit on rimfire, be sure you use tape or a more permanent approach glue. All you have to do is tap those things and they come apart
 
To 'Jungle clip' the BC 10/22 mags is indeed legal and a great wat to endure max. ammo wastage. I do it on a regular basis.

Yup, good idea. I should have done the same thing. My kids and I were out last weekend when my daughter had 2-50 round clips together when one well out and dropped right on her baby toe!!! LOL She let out a little scream (and a smile casue it was funny) and got the everyone's attention.
 
Ya, you need something more than the stock "clips" to hold the mags together. I was spraying rounds downrange with 2 eagle 30 rounders clipped together and the vibrations made one fall of onto the ground, which cracked it :(
