For the second time in as many years, I organised a pistol shoot for my coworkers, their family and friends. I like to call these "fun shoots", as I think that best conveys the spirit of the event.
The first time I organised one of these, I got 25 people out over 2 days (those who weren't going to be available to shoot during the day Saturday, were accommodated on Friday evening). This year, the range was booked both on Friday evening and Monday evening for league shoots. So, everybody had to come on Sunday, or not at all. This year, we had 18 participants.
We had a great time. There were two youngsters, 8 and 10, and adults of all ages all the way up to seniors.
The only thing that surprises me each time I do this is just how many of my coworkers, and/or their mom or dad, has long wanted to get out and shoot. You might be surprised at how many of your acquaintances would take you up on an offer for a hosted shoot with someone they know.
