So a friend brought over something interesting the other day. Mossberg 835. Anyway, he was using it for waterfowl cause he didn't want his nice shotgun to get wet. Guess it rained quite a bit. The forestock and the pistol grip area of the buttstock are cloudy. Kinda like the rings that would be left behind if you put a sweaty drink on an old table. So, my friend said he tried leaving the shotgun near a heat register and even borrowed his wifes hair dryer. Neither worked. I still think there's moisture trapped under the varnish. My first thought is to try throwing the furniture in the oven on the lowest setting for a few hours. Anything else I can try that doesn't involve stripping the finish? I'm not afraid to redo it if required, but it'd be a shame because it's damn near perfect. One other thing, if I can save it, is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening again?

Sounds like what you have is 'varnish bloom'. If you google 'varnish bloom' there are a number of sites that talk about the causes and some possible remediation techniques.

I'll pass the info along, thank you! For the benefit of others ... What I could find is this. Try to polish with a fine automotive grade polish. If it starts to disappear, keep polishing! If it won't polish out, you're going to have to strip it and re finish it to make it all go away.
