A while back I answered a post from a club in NB looking for a club to challenge in a shoot. I thought it was a great idea and arranged to shoot a mutally agreed target for bragging rights. We shot and published our scores only never to hear from the challenging club again. I really like the idea though and would like to issue the same challenge to any other clubs out there for a shoot in January (our clubs first shoot of the year). Rules are simple, we mutually agree on a target, shoot then compare scores. Winner gets to brag about it :dancingbanana: . Let me know if any of you are interested.

Cheers

I think it's a great idea, were you thinking of an aggregate score , being there would be dfferent numbers of members ? Or individual scores ? or both ?
Cheers nessy.

Where are the 40 pages of rules? We need the rules first. Do I get, or lose points for wearing camo? Tatts? Do I have to buy a nylon jacket with 4 BIG letters computer stitched across the back, and weird other stuff elsewhere? Can I bring my own gun or does somebody have to deliver it on satin cushion?
We need to know these things. Will somebody in some other province complain about the colour?

Skip...just for you:

Here is the January target.

http://www.uspalma.com/Targets/PDFs/300%20reduced%20for%20200.pdf

- 5 shots off-hand at 25 yards, all shots count, score yourself and mark on target.

- Line cuts, count the higher score

- Any caliber, flint or percussion.

- Open iron sights only, can be adjustable, no peeps or front globe sights.

- Target can be oriented any way you choose

- All targets should be shot the same day at a club shoot/rondie

High average club score counts for bragging rights, individual high scores will get honorable mention.

If possible please take a digiphoto of each shooter with their scored target so we can see who is who. Post results to this thread.
I'm sure I missed something as I have never done this before let me know if I did. Hope to see some clubs enter.

Mods if I am breaking any rules sorry in advance.

Cheers

Well,, this looks interesting. Count me in, but I don't belong to a club as such.

Perhaps I will be the first to post a target. I plan on shooting it tomorrow morning. The weather forecast is for freezing rain and snow tonight and clearing up sometime in the morning.

Good turn out for our club:

12 Shooters with an average score of 37.42

Weather was excellent for a Jan in NON and a good time was had by all. Unfortunately pics were lost dues to technical difficulties with my camera.
