While my wife and I are patiently waiting for our R-PALs to arrive we have been looking into different clubs in our area where we can take our handguns.
Colby shooting club is fairly close but wont let us join unless we take their handgun safety course
.
Waterloo County Revolver Assoc. is about the same distance from home but I've never been there and don't know anything about it.
Twin City rifle club is the closest, but again I know nothing about it (do they allow handguns?).
There are also quite a few "Rod and Gun" clubs in the area, but from what I can see they are just social clubs and don't have a range. (or do they?)
What would happen if we just dropped in when these places are "open" to see what they are all about?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
