I have never used CMJ bullets (plated) and am wondering what everyones experience is with them (9mm)????
I have heard some strange stories about plating coming off etc.
Also... any good sources in the GTA????
Shipping is obviously a large cost consideration.
Thx

The CMJ's stocked by marstar (Frontier south african) in the 9mm are good to go. Check out higginson too, they might have them instock as well.

I use excel plated bullets in my glock 21 (45acp), pretty much exclusively for the range. Unless I'm in the mood to spend more, they work really great. Never had a problem, they aren't noticeably different than any FMJ I've tried.

+3 on that.

They are all I use now. 9mm - 38Sp - 40S&W and 45ACP.

+4 Love Frontier bullets!!! Pretty good value given their quality. FWIW, Higginsons and Marstar are sold out of the .45 ACP 230 grainers but I managed to get a whack of 9mm and .357...:)

Yes, the copper on the CMJ 9mm 124grns come off in the Glock barrel and throws off the shot so much that I cannot hit an IPSC target at 25 yards.
This only affects the polygonal barrels and not the cut type. E.g. I still use CMJ's in my 9mm AR and can do 2.5" at 100 yards.

I switched to Win 124 FMJ from Wolf at a couple dollars more at 1000rds and can hit that A zone 100% of the time at 25 yards.

Hope this helps.
