This is a good news and bad news story, you have been warned:

So I had decided I want a 22lr dedicated rifle that i could use for IPSC mini rifle so I got myself a CMMG dedicated 22lr upper to put on a spare lower. I hadn't decided what to put on it for optics so I put a set of gen 1 magpul mbus on it, but I really wanted some kind of red dot optic.

*the bad news* So I searched on the EE and found Craftsman 441 selling a Eotech and negotiated a deal with him. Four weeks went by and through the entire time all I got was it was its in the mail after he cashed my EMT. Well needless to say it never arrived and I later found out he sold it to multiple folks and took their money. I've started to collect information to process the police report on it as I was also contacted by another party that was also ripped off, I will share all the information I have with anyone that was ripped of by this man.

*the good news* I managed to put a bushnell trs-25 on a yhm .5" riser and sight in the gun. Well thats when I realised that bringing 400 rounds of cci minimags was not going to be enough. The gun was plain fun to shoot! Groups well enough for action 22, and with four 26 round bdm mags, I was burning through ammo faster than i could load the mags. Needless to say it put a big smile on my face :)

I need to find a closer source for cci minimags

To anyone thinking of a dedicated 22lr upper, get the CMMG! it ran flawless all night from round 1 to round 400! And even though the CMMG folks say that you can't use a notched hammer, it worked with mine, but as always ymmv.

Lastly, I would like Questar for bringing these in!

I agree, the shorty would have been better, but the 16 can travel with you to the states if you like :)

I will post some pics tomorrow :)

As promised
