All the good ones are restricted, why is that? like someone looks at it and is like how much fun can they have with that....RESTRICTED

Pretty much lol if it looks fun or scary gets prohibited or restricted... even though other "non scary" firearms fire the exact same rounds as others. Makes no sense what so ever. A firearm is a firearm.

Because a lot has to do with how much SKILL the importer has convincing the Lab that it is NOT a AR15 variant. Which it clearly is not, doesn't share the same receivers, not interchangeable.

It is often a lot faster for a importer to just say its a AR15 restricted variant so they can start selling them quickly than wait for yrs for the lab to decide.

Buy one and put a 18.5in barrel on it and send it to the lab and tell them you want it Non R and give your reasons then maybe they will change the FRT.

Questar was the importer I believe.

EDIT: I dont know if it is possible, legally for FRT to change once issued to a more free status, they certainly can go the other way as seen many many times in the past and now, CZ858 Swiss arms.

Thanx yeah i only asked because our govt has something against anything with 47 in the name or AK . So stupid. I like the 7.62x39 for the access to cheap ammo and i already have a few firearms in that caliber

No, almost all the good ones are PROHIBITED. The one and only restricted rifle design is the AR-15 (and anything deemed to be a variant thereof).

Yep, all prohibited....even the Mossberg AK Blaze in 22lr got the honorary 'Prohib' stamp.

Anyways, the Mutant looks like a nice piece and this is now the Gen2 version that one would be getting from Questar or Irunguns.
