Just received a brand spanking new Forster Co-ax press yesterday and wanted to brag a little bit.Man are they nice.Pretty sure I'll be pumping more handloads out at least till the novelty wears off.
Now,what to do with the other four presses that I have? Probably get rid of at least two of em and keep 3 set up.
How many presses are you guys using together?

I have a very old coax, the one made by Bonanza, I use it a fair amount, great press, unique engineering. What other presses do I use? My most used, and probably the one I would keep if I only could have one is my C-H heavyweight champion, very erggonomic and massive leverage. Next is my Hollywood senior turret press, it can load up to 20mm. Dillon 550 for large volume- handgun loads.

Them Co-AX presses are nice have been using one for a couple of years now,i use a cheap Lee besides incase i have to pull some bullets. The Forster bullet pullers for the Co-AX are too pricey for me.Also load 45-70 on the Lee so i don't have to change the jaws in the CO-AX.

They are a great press, I have been using one for years, you will enjoy working with it. Now get out there and buy some Forster Benchrest Dies, can't beat them for the money, their regular seater runs circles around any seater out there, the only seater that is as accurate in my opinion is the redding Benchrest seater at twice the price and the elevated expanding button is great for keeping runout to a minimum.

Of the press and its workings (eg., the universal shell holder, priming mechanism, etc.).
I've been using one since 1974. Works as good as the day I bought it, and until I went the Dillon route in the mid to late '80's, I also reloaded all my handgun ammo on it. Loading handgun on a single stage press is heartbreaking if you do much shooting, but at least with the Co-Ax, changing dies is a split second operation. I hesitate to guess how many tens of thousands of rounds have been reloaded on that press.

You change dies by sliding them in and out of the slot in the press... simple as that. The priming setup is very easy to set up, and is also just that easy to use.

The only disadvantage I can think of, off the top of my head, is that "special" dies or auxillary equipment that requires the standard threaded recepticle found on other presses can't be used.

I have been using a "Bonanza" Co-Ax press for decades now as well. IMHO, there is not a better press made, period. I only use my Rockchucker for stuff that has thick rimmed cases that would require a shellholder change on the Co-Ax, or for pulling bullets with a Collet type puller. Regards, Eagleye.

I have used one in the past (that a friend owns) and thought it was time to get one myself.I have an older Bonanza (that is not a co-ax)that is of pretty good quality itself that I'll for sure keep and likely a Hornady LocNLoad press that I have aswell.3 red ones.
Bigbull, I may have to try the Forster benchrest dies in the future but for now as rule I use Reddings(not benchrest type)with the exception of a couple of sets.
I should have her up and ready to go tonight as I just finished building a mounting plate for it today.
Does anybody prime with theirs? I have been using my old bonanza with the Lee Auto Prime 2 and I really like the ease of this little unit.Is it worthwhile even considering using the co-ax to prime with?

I NEVER prime on a press anyway [except shotgun, or progressive pistol] so I have never used my Co-Ax to prime with. Your auto-prime II is just fine. Regards, Eagleye.

I heartily agree that the Co-Ax is a great press, and wouldn't trade mine.

Lesson I learned the hard way however - probly shouldn't be used for forming operations if a lot of force required. Press is plenty strong and M.A. is good, but dies are not supported from outside by anything but the lock ring.
Push a brass in too hard, and die splits....  :(

Interesting expierience, I have never used mine for case forming or bullet swaging, I use my heavyweight champion ( I think c-h just calls it the champion now), and my Hollywood senior turret for that.
