Hi all,
I received my Baikal couch gun in the mail yesterday from a fellow CGN

A very nice gun, however the external hammers seem a bit fragile to me, (they seem thin) I'd wish to swap them out with some more robust ones if possible, even considering machining some, anyone have any knowledge or experience in the matter? your suggestions would be appreciated

Hi Bush,
No there not actual hammers just the ones that #### the gun, dont get me wrong its a great gun, I just prefer the functional hammers, being new to the coach gun world I just should have done more research instead at jumping at the first opportunity that came my way

The key word being availability of that particular component - while a set of such hammers (the functioning type) may fit your shotgun albeit will still remain in a non-functioning role. Suggest check with Baikal Canada dot com for that part.

I had one with the functioning hammers......well made shotguns, however, those come with CYL bbls only. The CZ built ones are nicer and have M/IC barrels.
