Thinking about a coach gun for in the camper. Lots of brands out there thinking side by side or over and under but would like ejectors not extractors maybe 20 gauge(less recoil for the wife). Anybody have experience with Hatsan tactical over and under? It seems like there are Turkish options with extractors (Mossberg Stoger Charles Daily)opinions?

My brothers and I bought my dad a Stoeger Coach Gun Supreme for Christmas years ago. Decent gun for a decent price. Action was smooth and ejects well. Nice having the option to "give er both barrels" simultaneously. Just for shoulder busting fun.

Get a Stoeger, polish the chamber’s. You won’t need ejectors. A quick flick of the wrist and the shells fly out. It’s the go to for cowboy shooters for a reason. If you insist on ejectors look for a Baikal and cut it down. Not all Baikal’s have ejectors though but you can get one for usually under $400

Browning BSS are top. SKB are well respected. Stoeger are are handy but most are extractor, the single trigger can be helpful. CIL 311 are cheap ,extractors, but have the barrels chopped to 22 inch's it makes a handy tool.
12 gauge can be softer recoil with the right shells, they are heavy tool.

I'll be one to vouch Huglu, full set of chokes, has digested way too many double ought buck and slug rounds at the cabin with me and several kids abusing it, still locks up tight and functions as it should. Even shoot some redneck trap with it........

Revolution arms has some models with chokes, the quality is really nice. 12 gauge has light loads and mini shells, you can always reload and control recoil much more as well.

I have 3 O/U coach/short and one sxs. My preference is the O/U but that's just me

I got a gel/mem foam shooting pad for my mosin a few years back, slipped it on for a longer LOP and it helps with recoil for those who want reduction

Since you're 'thinking about' maybe look into short (14-19") pumps. More shots, #7 or 8 pretty light recoil, or SD slugs. Limbsaver on any thing you choose is great, too! Only about $50. I just got a 19" Daly semi for $400 @ LGS, w-chokes. And get a combination trigger lock, they're about $40 for 5 on Amazon.

I have a short model 12 we pack around I just like the simplicity of a double barrel if things get busy. No short stroking just drop two in and squeeze. Most issues would go away with 2. Hopefully it just rides in the closet for its lifetime and just comes out to play around.

I'll second or third the Huglu/CZ recommendation. You may also want to consider something like a Shockwave with an aftermarket stock for less cheddar as well.

There's nothing like the feel of a good sxs though!

I have a Boito A680 12GA with 14 inch barrels, extractors not ejectors. Does have a kick but shoots well.
I picked up one of those myself. The kick is noticeable but manageable—I really like it.
