Got the urge to eat pulled pork and shoot a shotgun match so this past weekend a friend and I went down to Myrtle Beach to do both.

While most of you toiled in winter weather, we enjoyed hot sun, kick ass BBQ and an 8 stage shotgun match.

Karl was telling me about this match, I can't believe you actually went. 28 hours round trip in one weekend is just crazy
 
Pork - I could show you the "after", but I'd probably get banned.

AS for the match, yes it helped to be in shape.
I'm not and felt like I was going to die.
That's why I only shoot POV vids.....so you can't see me crawling and gasping for breath.
Conditioning definitely cost me. would have finished higher if I could keep it together all the way to the last stage.
Will be fixing that asap.

28 hour roundtrip?
I could have sworn it only felt like 26.
 
26 hours of driving for 6.5 minutes of shooting...?

This was their first shotgun only, but I think this will become an annual if not more frequent match.
There are 2 shotgun matches scheduled for this time next year in the Carolinas

The number of matches we found out about was impressive.
Monthly 3 gun at a few ranges and big annual matches.

I managed 3rd, Karl 6th.
One stage was thrown out due to last squad running out of light.
was a strong stage for both of us, and would have bumped us up a spot in the standings if it stayed.
