Got to the farm at first light, setup and started calling right away using the ecaller as it was too cold to use my mouth calls.
I used some rabbit calls followed by coyote vocals, it took 20 minutes before I notice a straw coloured object on the far side of the bush-line that wasn't there a minute ago.
I see it move, its a coyote on the edge of the bush standing on a downed tree trunk. I put the scope on her and waited to see if she was coming into the decoy. But after 15 seconds or so, she turned sideways so I took my shot. She ended up falling over dead. It was cold out but not so cold to skin it out on site :)

Fratri you are on a mission this year! It was pretty cold here this morning, kudos for getting out of bed and into the field!
That’s a good sized dog - not many people know that you are 6’6” tall ;)

Way to go! Paddle2DAC and I weenied out this morning as was -38C.

EDIT - warmed up this afternoon and we went out. I was running a few minutes late so he started walking down to the hydro line and a wolf was standing in the ditch on the other side of the road looking at him. Couldnt take the shot there and it walked into the bush. We set up on the hydro line on that side of the road but no response to the caller

Way to go Frank. I Did 3 sets this morning in this freezing weather too. All blanks, e caller crapped out. I used my mouth calls until they froze up. Sure was a chilly one out there! Looks like your eye dominance problem isn’t much of a problem! Cheers

I think the new scope is helping too
