Very interesting concept, including the use of a modified Sten magazine. It also illustrates the bolt weight, spring and travel required for 7.62x25. The discussion, if any, is on the concept and the engineering. I am guessing it would be loud and hand smacking.

Similar in appearance to the Sterling Mk7 9mm Pistol, the Colefire Magnum is chambered for the powerful 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridge. The Colefire Magnum utilizes a unique modified Sten mag. that flawlessly cycles 25 rds. of Tokarev ammunition with each loading. It has an enlarged and knurled charging handle for comfortable and reliable handling. Sleek styling, combined with the affordable and readily available 7.62x25mm cartridge, make the Colefire Magnum S/A Pistol a blast to shoot that won’t break the bank. Barrel: 4.5”, Overall: 13.25”, Weight: 4.75 lbs. Finish: Manganese Phosphate coated with Black Wrinkle Paint.

If it is currently being sold in the USA as a closed bolt semi, then it should be classified as a restricted pistol and the magazine would need to be blocked to 10 rounds. That is assuming it is built on a new receiver and not recycled FA Sterling receivers...

I too was wondering about the "prohibited assumption".....:yingyang:

It may not be. Perhaps it would be importable if they were not making up the rules as they go along. This would be a nice pistol.

Has anyone heard of Sten mags feeding 7.62?
