Colt 1911 ~1918~ Seeking Advice

Thinking of adding this one to my collecting, but have noticed a couple of things that have me wondering

-slide and frame seem to be slightly different in colour
-trigger face is knurled
-machine marks on frame


Any and all information about the piece would be appreciated
I do have the magazine and the grip screws

Hi,

Unfortunately somebody has ground off the U.S. PROPERTY markings on the frame. Although the photos are bad, I'm almost positive it's also re-finished. The milled trigger is also a replacement, most likely from a WWII era pistol. There's still some nice M1911's out there. I wouldn't buy this one as a collectible, maybe as a shooter if priced accordingly.
