How much do older Colt 22 conversion units go for these days? I am looking at one that is probably 60's or 70's (not sure, just making a WAG)

It has an adjustable sight and is marked 'COLT'S MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA' in block letters on one line on the left side of the slide.

Any info, comments or questions appreciated!

I've seen the real deal Colt conversions go from $250 to $450. They're all steel and have the last shot hold open feature, but they're not reported to be as nice as the marvel/wilson combat kits

Colt 1911 .22 conversion kits

They go roughly for around $500.00, or more if they are complete in the original box with instructions. Fun to shoot but sensitive to waxed .22 ammo and plain lead .22 bullets that seem to cause them to plug up and foul the floating chamber and start jamming after 50 or 60 rounds, works very well with Stingers and yellow jackets, copper plated/jacketed bullets on the other hand, clean copper plated brand.22 ammo works fine and they function well with it. g2.

Thanks for the answers guys. After doing some more research, this one has a Coltmaster rear sight on it, so its definitely post war to 1953 production, which jives with some indirect but linked paperwork.

Unfortunately, I don' think this has anything but the unit itself and two mags, no other box or instructions that I was told about.

Colt .22 Conversion Unit / #2 Slide Stop....

Make sure it comes with the correct factory Colt slidestop with "2" stamped on the inside flat. Yes, it will work with your regular .45ACP slide stop but it will burr the notch in the slide and eventually look the ####s. That is why they had their own unique slide stop.... ;)
