Colt 1911

I'm looking for to buy a colt 1911 made in 1913.
I want to know how i can see if this pistol is refinish original and how to know if the barrel is original
What piece i have to check for verify the autenticity?

Can you provide any more detailed photos?

I don't see any glaring red flags - however it could be an old re-finish.

Do you know the serial number? We would also have to see the barrel markings to know if it's correct or not.

Not an expert but I'd agree with Steve. The barrel is key, a correct one of that vintage can be a tough part to find if its not the original. However, I wouldn't call it a deal breaker as long as the price reflects it. Obviously all original is best, but even an old refinish isn't without value. The pistol looks to be in good condition, do you know any of its history (as in previous ownership)?
