colt 9mm upper: chrome-lined?

Like the subject says, does Colt chrome-line their 9mm upper barrels? Is there a way to tell visually (any decent barrel looks shiny when cleaned)?

Yes. Colt 9mm barrels are chrome lined.

YUP they sure do id tell you the mrkings but the handguards are aPITA to remove/install on my ro634

Getting a 9mm completely clean is an exercise in futility. I bought a 9mm because I don't want to clean

Looks like that was the theory of the previous owner. I'm up to 20 patches, still a far bit of dark on them.

I've come across a few rifles with perma-dirty barrels - each was older and worn, with visible imperfections in the bore. I'm hoping to get a chrome-lined barrel cleaner, but we'll see.

Numrich recently had a batch of Colt 9mm barrels that weren't chrome lined. Believe that they called it a 9mm Match Lightweight or something like that.

ETA: The other 99% of Colt 9mm's are chrome lined.

I clean mine 2-3 times per year tops and its allmost pointless its near impossible to get it perfectly clean Mine will function with 1000's of rnds thu it before cleaning
