Anyone have some experience? Seems the ejector is about a 1/4" too long to fit in the slide stop.

I installed a unit ( not ace) on a D.A NP 27 45 commander, it worked, dust cover was a hair short, but other than looks was fine.
I have never seen the point of them, The GSG price is O.K., if you can find one.

I have a Colt kit on my NP29 (9mm 1911). Excellent fit, works very well; accurate. I must have changed the ejector, but I do not recall what I did.

Couple minutes on a grinder removing a bit at a time of the sloped rear surface of the 22 extractor until slide stop could be inserted, and another minute of 1000grt sandpaper on the edges. Slides moves nicely with a little hang up now and then.
Means I might need to take off a bit more and check the angle of the extractor.
Now need a mag to test.

Since I'm missing the magazine, I tried it out single shot and ejection works fine on the ten SK Standard Plus rounds I tried.

Now that it works may also try it on the Llama IXA.

Got a GSG kit in on a trade and installed it in a Nork full size; it took some fitting also, and the accuracy was poor compared to the .45 so I saw no point in using it to practice. Sold it two days after I bought it. I'm sticking with my two High Standard .22s.

I have a Colt conversion unit and have had good luck using the G.S.G. mags. I just had to file just a very little off the top of the mags feed lips. Just enough so that the mag would click into place the slide does not lock back on the last shot but works perfect other wise and the price is right.

My competition 22s are a Pardiini SP New and Izh35m in .22lr, a 32SW Walther GSP, a 38SPL SW M52 and a few Sig 210 in 9mm.
So the conversion kit is for giggles and dealing with heavier triggers.

1 friend gave a mag. (A)
Another lent me his to try. (B)
Plus I bought one from Triple K (C)

A) Works ok.
B) Colt marked, is jam-a-matic in my pistol, Works fine in his pistol.
C) Too tight to fit in my pistol's mag well all the way. Spent hours getting it out without damage. Took off the grips and oiled mag with Kroil.
Disassembled the mag while still stuck in pistol. A round wooden handle from a foam brush pushed it out.

Need to measure C to find out where the problem is.
All look like they were made at the same place with the same tooling.

Measurements inches:

I've had a genuine Colt conversion unit that I put on a Fed Ord alloy frame filled with spare Colt parts. 2 genuine Colt mags (so marked), and a Metalform mag (unmarked). Looks like Metalform made mags for Colt. Gun shoots well with no problems at all. Not the most accurate gun but ok, it gives the recoil feel of a 45acp as designed.

Also have a 22LR conversion for a Sig P226 that shoots very accurately.
Have a Sig 1911-22 and installed a ZR Tactical 1911-22 Competition package and the Gun shoots phenomenally well.
