What carbine conversion kit did you use? RRA? Also, are you going to use a front-sight, or just use the aimpoint as the primary?

I have no idea. Gunplumberr built it, The only parts I did not end up buying was the A3 upper and the RAS. Everything else came from the same AR.

Oh yes I plan to have a front sight, Just not sure what I want. Also Im looking at trying to get the 9mm port door kit and the case deflector in OD green.

I plan to paint the Aimpoint OD green.

Gunplumberr, Like I said above the only parts I did not buy was the A3 upper which was painted the same as the lower and the RAS which was painted green.

Its a Factory Colt 9mm Carbine Lower, 6 Pos DPMS stock and Buffer tube. Unknown buffer and spring. The A1 upper is a Colt as awell, RAS is a YHM ultra lite, Rail covers/Vertical KAC. Barrels is ~7.5". Im not sure who made the magblock or the bolt, barrel etc.

Aimpoint is a Aimpoint Copy :( Will replace it.

Only thing I had to do was, slap the barrel on myself and the RAS. Its quite heavy for a short gun. I built it becuase my Club doesn't open the outdoor range much durring the winter and Im forced to shoot pistol only, so I built this AR so I can either shoot indoors or out, and Also I could shoot common 9mm, becuase 223 is quite hard to find unless you order out of provence. Also it will allow me to have a Tac Rifle to practice with indoors.


Dont worry Jay, Pops isn't a HUGE AR fan at all. Even though he has 1 1/2 AR's.

Has a Colt Match HBAR 20" with a Yellow stock and Grip and also a Bushy 11.5" with a KAC RAS, Holosight, Flash Light, Vertical Grip.

Yup, Im going to make a report of all the guns I built and letters from people when I do my Re Test for Wpn Tech to help me get in. They think I know jack ####. It will show them that I know what I am doing. Also the lady incharge of my testing said I wasn't smart enough. I mean I have potential.


I love building things, I perfer building guns more then shooting them.

General Handy Man, 3/4 of the time fixing stuff other then Wpn, Hydrolics, Turrets, Wpn System, Stove, ETC At lease I'll be using my hands.
 
I think that you'll enjoy the Weapons Tech course, Rob.

A1 uppers aren't really my thing, but I suppose that a forward assist would be a bit unnecessary for what you're doing. Nice build.
