Incorrect. The current IUR offerings are 10 inch so that is a potential offering, and the other stubby is a 11.6 inch not 11.7 inch

I was getting the 11.6" confused with the 15.7"

I'm really tempted to pick up one of these 15.7 uppers, they're beautiful pieces.

I can relate to people feeling somewhat swindled. Pitching something as a once in a life time, limited edition!, just a few items available! kind of deal only to SURPRISE have more and more of them pop up rubs people the wrong way and rightly so.

Do any companies still have these in stock?

I've had a fair amount of trigger time with the C8IUR shooting 77 grain IVI ammo. No failures and accuracy stayed consistent even with warming up the barrel.

So out of curiosity, do you know if there is any commercial source for said 77gr IVI?

when you get a colt canada you dont know what will happen next, they might never sell them again, then again they might come out next week with a complete rifle at half the price, thats life with colt canada.

That said I would love for the DCRA to reconnect with IVI and make reasonably priced quality ammo available for Service Rifle shooters again. Readily available, reasonably priced, quality ammo would not be a detriment to attendance.

The Yanks are not getting it easy with their ammo prices either. They are paying about the same prices on 9mm and .223 in Phoenix as we are here. In fact, maybe more if you factor in the exchange at 35%.

Sorry I don't know of any. I recall one retailer was going to bring it in but that didn't pan out.

I haven't tried it yet but I hear the 75 grain Hornady does well in the C8IUR. I have some I'll test out in a few months.

I'm doing the 77gr Sierra with some Varget. I just haven't put enough rds down range to make any definitive comments yet.

As mentioned already, too bad DCRA doesn't make a bigger effort to purchase for members. I think it would be an asset for everyone, especially tyros. But I'm like everyone else, "someone should do something" while I sit on my asz.
