Colt Carry Handle Identification

I'm hoping someone can help. I recently acquired a Colt Competition HBar AR-15 with a detachable carrying handle in excellent condition. A friend at my local gun shop said the carry handle is not a Colt original. There is no "C" markings on it. The only markings on it are "MMA" as you can see in the picture. My question is, is this carry handle original to my AR or aftermarket? Thanks for your help!
