I've read that the SAA commemorative Colt's have caught up in value to non comm's in the U.S
cause they are 2nd generation guns. I've got an old Pony express nickel that I picked up cause of the extra cylinders,
but I just can't get myself to shoot it. I've seen many stock SAA's go for big bucks if clean although fired. I of course know
that all comm's are toasted by at least half once they are fired, but it seem's that SAA'S are less affected. So... Do any of you
take'em to the range. SAA's only!

I can see some folks who collect guns as future investments or heirlooms but to me, if I buy a gun, it's pretty much guaranteed that it will spit lead at some point in time. If it's a valuable safe queen, I'd take her out and lay just a handful of round and savor the moments. BUT if it is indeed an investment piece, keep her lubed and lock 'er up... or sell it on EE as NIB even if you did shoot her. (JK!)

I've actually relegated some shot and slightly worn to the safe just cause they should have nice "Golden years". I mean I've got a few really clean one's that should have been parked before I bought them.
BTW I totally agree that guns should be shot to be really enjoyed and I usually do. There comes a point with me that I've "Felt out " a certain gun that's not easily replaceable and I primp clean and park it, maybe bringing it out once in a while for a work out.
