So a friend down south asked me if colt cs stocks are easy to get up here and I had no idea what they were but after a little research they're more or less just a1 stocks made of a2 materials with storage inside.

During the course of this research people seem to have massive hard ons for this seemingly nothing stock, and are willing to pay good money. Various forums also claim they're plentiful up here and I'd never even heard of such a thing.

But people were also saying that all the colt Canada diemaco a1 style stocks are those that these guys are looking for?

So other than what I wrote what are they and are they actually available like some on American forums claim?

When you already own a dozen of AR15s and where the market is flooded with a sea of other off the shelf options, having an authentic Diemaco clone legits your collection.

Nothing special? Depends on who you ask. It's all a question of supply and demand. A lot of people found the extra length of the A2 stock to be too long, many prefer the A1 length. The A2 material is considered to be tougher than the A1 so some consider it to be the ideal configuration for a fixed stock rifle. Are they more available up here? Only in the sense that it was an option available on the C7 and C7A1. The default was A2 length, you had to ask for the shorter stock to be installed. They were not offered up here commercially AFAIK so any you find are likely imported from the US or have been "liberated" from the CAF.

I'm not saying that they are the cats meow but they are rare and desirable and as such fetch a premium. I consider myself lucky to have found one at a reasonable price.
