i have a king cobra with a 6 in barrel that i bought new about 18 years ago.it has been fired maybe 15 times and is in like new condition.i'm thinking about trading it in for a 9mm at a local gun shop.i dont know what make yet.my question is,how much money can i expect to get on a trade in.

You will get about 25% less as a trade-in.

Value should be in the $650+ range in the EE, (with the asking price a bit higher). As a trade-in, probably about $400. The King Cobra was not hand fitted like the Pythons, but still a nice revolver.

IIRC, Jerry Kuhnhausen wrote that the Colt King Cobra was the strongest .357 Magnum revolver at the time it was available for sale from the company - meaning it was at least as strong as the different Ruger revolvers of the same size (forged frame, not cast).

Options : - keep it
- sell it for what it's worth, that is ... a lot.
