Colt lightweight commander value

Looking for a general value on a colt lightweight commander 45 acp. Made in 1983 as far as I can tell. Picked this as part of a trade deal. Going to be my first 1911 type pistol. Is their any potential for it to get more valuable in the future? I don’t plan on selling it anytime soon.

I own a couple or three of them. Probably 650-700. Worth more unmodded I think. - dan

Looks like holster wear around the muzzle. Also a Series 80 which is not as collectible as the 70s. I’m not an expert in 1911s but, correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the Combat and Lightweight Commanders are more desirable in 9mm?

I would keep this as a shooter and enjoy it. I might change the sights if it was my gun though. I would agree that it’s a $700 gun.

JMHO.... Shooter, not a collector. In .45ACP an all steel commander is more desirable. This one, maybe worth $750 tops.
