Hey guys, looking for some info on my Colt. Slide says Model of 1911 us army, parkerized with plastic/bakelite grips. There are some barely noticeable tiny marks that I can't pick out. one mark on the trigger guard and one above the mag release. I can't tell for the life of me what they are. Could these be arsenal/inspecter stamps or would these markings be more pronounced? Has the us propertty stamp on frame with ser no 605###. Lanyard loop on mainspring housing and two-tone mag.

Got a camera? Good light and a picture can often highlight markings that are hard to make out with your eye. Post some clear pics, including all the stampings you can see. Lots of folks here could help you, but a site like coolgunsite can also get you headed in the right direction.
