So I had to have it as I collect Colts. She's is a quality build and feels much more solid then the MP15/22 but it's still very lightweight. I compared it to my 6920 and she looks almost identical. The trigger is awful and the cleaning process is weird considering there is no bolt or action to remove. It's a shooter and I've been going through massive amounts of .22 with it. Hope you enjoy the pic.

Too bad. Are they in the same price range as M&P15/22?

I'm hesitating between a dedicated platfom like this or buying a conversion kit for my AR. What advantages do you see with the M4/22 over a conversion kit? Both are restricted and the conversion kit is cheaper.

The Colt is more expensive. If your not a Colt guy then just get a conversion kit. They work just as well and you'll save money. Again the one thing I like about the M4 is it's a Colt and it's an M4. Other then that it's just koolaid.

Ive read/heard that the m&p15 .22 feels a lot better with more features that replicate a .223 ar15

Absolutely, the Colt is licence-built by Umarex, they also make guns for H&K under licence: www.hk22rimfire.com

It looks like an AR-15 but it's not, I examined one closely at the NRA show last year. I'd describe it as an improved Armi-Jaeger AP74.

Personally I'd say of this fad of military-style .22s that have come out lately the SIG-Sauer 522 is the best one, but it's prohibited here so I got the S&W. The other ones work, but if you want a 10/22 get one which is what an SR-22 is, and these Umarex guns are bespoke guns made by them so that means you can't use some of the accessories you can on the S&W.
