I'm trying to use a punch to remove the front sight from the barrel, but it's <expletive deleted> impossible!

I don't want it on the rifle. To be more specific, I'd much rather have BUIS and my RDS on the rails than anything else...

Any advice?

I was able to get those two pins out, but I can't for the life of me get that mini screw out... (the one right next to the sling mount).

I think this will require a trip to the local smith with the barrel...

Goddamn I hate this ####in' front site.

If you look at the top of the barrel, facing away from you, the pins are punched out from left to right, they are tapper pins, once you get them started they will come out quite easily. If you use a nail setting punch it will stay on the rounded head of the pin better and be easier to get the buggers started.

if you got the pins for the post out, take the pin out of the sling mount. then you can have a straight go at that hex head screw on the bottom. Otherwise you will come in on an angle. Make sure you are using the right size allan wrench or you will strip it.
