Colt MRR Gas Adjustment

I feel like an idiot posting this because it seems so simple, but do any of you know how to adjust the gas block on a Colt MRR? I notice that the block has the forward hex screw but no side adjustment screw. I believe I've got a bad overgassing problem as my internals are covered in carbon after only one range shoot.

Any help is appreciated!

ALL AR's are over gased, they vent out of the bolt carrier. I believe the gas block on the MMR isn't adjustable. The set screws you are seeing are to secure it to the barrel.

Thanks for the quick responses. I do see the bottom retaining screws but there is also the forward hex screw that faces forward with the muzzle. I asked my LGS and they also agreed that it's non-adjustable. Guess I'll just get good at cleaning everything.

You can go 5000rds w/o cleaning and still be reliable. Doesn't need to be spotless each time. As long as you keep it oiled.

the hex screw on the front of the gas block is just there as a plug so that you can punch out the roll pin and remove the gas tube from the front of the gas block. It's a monolithic upper so you cant just remove the handguard to pop the gas tube off.

Leave the mrr alone. Lube it well. Shoot it lots. Clean it when once in a while.

I mean you should clean it after use. But you you don't necessarily have to.
