Hey guys, new gun nut here so be gentle.

the rcmp says my licence is coming next week so i'm in the market for guns....when i did my training course at YRFirearms we got to play around with some double action revolvers. i really liked how they felt in my hand. it looked like a Colt New Army or Officers model, like this here http://www.armchairgunshow.com/ot53-pix/hc-9289.jpg

the problem is i can't find anything like it on the market, mostly what i find are Single Action Army-ish replicas like the Uberti Cattleman which are all single action. the ruger redhawk is close to what i'm looking for but just not quite it.

any ideas?

You Dont want that Gun "TRUSTME" you Will NEVER get it to work Right!!

ALso they sell for 800-2500! $

What you Should buy is a gun thats NOT 0ver 100 years old. & there in 38 LONG COLT or 41 LONG COLT , Witch is REAL hard to buy ammo for.

(they did not make them after 1907) unless it's the Officers model But then they sell for BIG $$$$..

This is two of mine. She is Worth a LOT of $$$$ (i have like 5 of them right now..)

First one Has a 4" Barrel , Other a 6"

sorry, i should have been more specific. i'm looking for a modern replica of the New Army, no way i'm spending >$1k on my first revolver :p

just want something with the same look and feel, 6" bbl, etc.

I always though the S&W K-frame sized guns felt close to the Colt DA, the model 66 being my favorite.

They Dont make a Clone , Or replica's Of it.

Why not (when you get your RPAL) Go to a Gun store and play with some and see what you like? i Say stick with 38spl or 357 mag for a first gun. ALso Most Gun shops Dont have Colt's in stock. Even the new ones sell for BIG Bucks.

One more Pic From A long time ago of mine. (TO make you Dream)

starpuss, those are nice, the blued one looks like a s&w model 17 or something. i just had a look at the s&w catalog and the model 10, 17, etc. are just the ticket, too bad they are also $1k each :(

If you keep your eyes on the ee, you can find old S&W revolvers now and then. I ended up with a couple 1905 model of the 4th change revolvers. They shoot quite well for old guns, and no $1000 price tag either.
