Should be simple, right? Make a new base pin...

Conveniently, this thing came along to get measurements from...

After much soaking in kerosene...

And some lathe work (didn't take a pic before hot oil bluing... which was it's own pain - the pin fit ok after lathing but wouldn't fit after bluing...)

But!

This is where I find out that the cylinder that came with the first gun does not belong to it.

Yes, the two guns are from two different revisions... but revision 1 cylinder should really look like the one shown here simpsonltd DOT com/colt-new-line-22/

The revisions differ in how cylinder stop is designed... The diffferences can be seen here pretty well:

But as I said this cylinder is not original - the cylinder stop doesn't match the cutout which you can just make out here...

and the cylinder has a larger diameter hole for the base pin (as well as being a touch larger too)

I had thought of perhaps turning the outside of the cylinder down and making a brass insert for the base pin... but for now I have hopes of finding a replacement... Any leads appreciated!
