Colt new service in 45 colt Opinions

What is your experience or opinion on a really nice Colt New Service in 45 colt , no police or rcmp markings,just a nice plain one?

Awesome, well made Colt revolver. Very large, very robust. I have a mint condition RCMP marked one myself.

I had an early 4 digit serial New Service in 45 Colt. I didn't appreciate it at the time. Really wish I hadn't sold it.

My experience: I've seen pictures of them and read about them.
My opinion: If I am ever offered a serviceable example when in sufficient funds, I should buy it.

What year is it? Definitely a cool revolver and a very good , quite large revolver with a lot of history. Stiff trigger pull in DA but I'd get it if I were you and the price is right!

Nice guns, I'd pick it up, if the fellow wasn't sniffing glue before pricing it. I find they command a pretty decent $$$ on the EE.
I've not one of these, but a couple of '92's; which are not that impressive mechanically. So I'd hope the New Service has some improvements over the early gen's, which logically it should. But logically and the late 19th century Colts are not always included in the same sentence.
