Hey,

I have a few questions regarding a Colt Officers Model that in 22LR. It was my grandfathers who was part of Canada's national shooting team Pre and post ww2. Currently my father has It and he doesnt know a whole lot about it. My biggest question is what's with all scroll work on the metal and maple leaves on the grips because All of the ones I've seen in pictures and in person are pretty plain Jane. Also was wondering the approximate value of a piece like this. Any info would be great.

That looks like it could be factory engraved, hard to tell from a picture, color looks right for colt.
I have not seen that front sight before.
I would send off the model and serial # off to colt and see what they have say.
or sell it to me and I will check for you.
P.S the grips look like herrits aftermarket ones
