Colt Python 4'' value

Hello everyone,

I'm helping one of my friend to value the gun collection of his deceased father and he had a 4'' Colt Python (prohib ...) And I would like to know the value of it. It is blued, has Pachmayr Grip and seems in good condition mostly, some scratches on the cylinder...pretty normal for all revolver I think. So if anyone can help me that would be appreciated

Two of them just sold on EE. They blue one was $400, as I recall. I was considering it.

Difficult to give you an appraisal without seeing some pictures.

You will get a better price by selling it on the EE, a consignment at a dealer and you will loose a lot.

Yes Bigi how true it is what a shame. These guns go for so many $$$ in the US. Oh well such is life.

Put it up for offers. What a crime for such a fine firearm.

Export it to the US you will get more. $400 for a prohib is lots, its worth $1000 more than that south of the border.
